About Our Center

Pathways was built from heart and fueled by the relationships built within it.

Pathways Living & Learning Center was created from the belief that adults with disabilities deserve meaningful lives, filled with learning, connection, purpose, community, and meaningful experiences. The vision was to create more than a place to spend the day; it was to build an environment where participants feel safe, encouraged, included, and genuinely engaged in the world around them.

Participants are not expected to fit into a one-size-fits-all routine. Staff members take the time to truly get to know each person: their personality, communication style, interests, routines, and strengths. Over time, those relationships create a sense of familiarity, comfort, and trust that families can feel when they walk through our doors.

That sense of connection shapes everyday life at Pathways. Participants spend their days creating projects, building friendships, laughing together, learning new skills, and experiencing life outside the center through community outings and day trips. Whether it’s a visit to the library, a local activity, or an entirely new experience, these moments often become some of the most anticipated and meaningful parts of the program.

Our team most loves watching participants grow in ways that matter to everyday life. Sometimes that growth is big and obvious. Other times, it’s something a parent or guardian notices quietly over time, like more confidence in social settings, greater independence, improved communication, excitement about trying something new, or simply looking forward to coming each day.

At Pathways, the goal has never been simply to fill time during the day. The goal is to create a place where adults with disabilities feel included, encouraged, capable, and genuinely connected to the world around them while giving families peace of mind knowing their loved one is safe, cared for, and truly known.

A Supportive Environment

The Pathways environment is designed to support a wide range of needs while still feeling welcoming and comfortable. Participants move between different spaces throughout the day for activities, meals, recreation, and learning.

The center includes a full kitchen used for life skill development, multiple activity areas, and a bathroom equipped for washing when needed to help ensure comfort, dignity, and care throughout the day.
